RETURNING TO LOVE-II: (Part 4d) - Why did we leave love? (Blocks to love)

Image
Why Did We Leave Love?   In the truest sense of the word, Love would never hurt, if we continued to love through whatever circumstance was presenting itself. Indeed the very term we use, unconditional Love, is redundant, since Love implies unconditionality. So, really we are rarely ever living or experiencing Love in its truest sense.  We continually hear people blaming love for their pain. It does get painful if we stop loving right in the middle of a rejection or a betrayal. That is what we do though, withdraw our love, as if the fault was in the loving. Indeed it is easier said than done ... to love someone. And we do need to learn how to love, because, in the absence of love we are left with only fear, emptiness and separation. It isn't even that we have no love to offer, we are born as emmissaries of love, we are living channels of love. It is in our soul to express love. However, when we become so focused on our own person...

Why Did We Leave Love?                   Blocks To Love.                                                                                 There are probably as many blocks to love as there are people to use them. To begin with, when you recognize it was "you" who separated from the Source, and "you" who turned your back on Love, and "you" who chose to go it on your own, and not the other way around ... a certain degree of guilt, and shame arises. This then gives rise to a level of hiding and of denial from the Truth ... that we literally turned our back on our Creator, and our Creator's Plan, and our Sacred Role in this Plan. We are thus, not ter...

RETURNING TO LOVE-II: (Part 4b) - Why did we leave love? (Blocks to love)

Image
Why Did We Leave Love?                            It is very difficult to remember why we would have made a choice to abandon love, our purpose, and our authentic being. In fact, very few are able to actually remember this choice without the assistance of a Guide, or Counsellor. It was, for each of us, a place of woundedness, heartbreak, and trauma. So much so that it felt like a place of death, or a temptation to die. In essence, we not only gave up our connection to love, but also our vital link to our Innocence, and our value as a Gift to Life. It is at this point that our ego begins to develop, and to take over the basic job of our survival. Since we believe we are no longer connected to the Source of all that Is, (the Creator, God, a "Higher Power', if you will), because we chose to separate, we now find ourselves alone and on our own, and our ego literally becomes our sole/soul source...

Why Did We Leave Love?                                                                                                 It is said that "love is the absence of fear" and "fear is the absence of love". Our most fundamental and essential nature is love and it is through love that we are connected to everyone and everything. So how have we become so separated from  who we really are (LOVE) and the SOURCE of our BEING? It seems obvious that somewhere in our lives we have gotten frightened, so frightened, in fact, that we decided to separate from the very essence of who we actually are, and the n...

Unconditional love  or  U niversal love  encompasses a profound and selfless acceptance, affection, and caring that transcends boundaries, cond...
