         WHAT IS LOVE?                  

          HIGHER LOVE?

                                                                        



                                                                                 
If we wish to examine higher love in its own right, we need to examine it within the context of its own nature, and esssence.

Unconditional love or Universal love encompasses a profound and selfless acceptance, affection, and caring that transcends boundaries, conditions, and expectations. Let’s explore these concepts:

  1. Unconditional Love:

    • Definition: Pure love, also known as unconditional love, is a type of love that knows no bounds, limitations, or expectations. It is a selfless, unwavering affection that exists regardless of circumstances, flaws, or imperfections.
    • Characteristics:
      • Selflessness: Pure love extends without any conditions, seeking nothing in return.
      • Stability: Unlike fleeting emotions, pure love remains constant and enduring.
      • Dissolves Boundaries: It breaks down barriers and unites people.
      • Intrinsic Love: Pure love is its own reward and is not dependent any external factors. 
    • Source: This level of love comes directly from the Source of all love and is received from and shared from deep within each person’s own heart, . By opening ourselves to this Source, we can receive and embrace pure love fully in our lives.

  2. Universal Love (Agape):

    • Definition: Universal love, often referred to as neighborly love, the love ethic, or simply agape, rests on the idea that all people are interconnected. It is a love that extends beyond personal boundaries.
    • Characteristics:
      • Inclusivity: Agape embraces everyone—strangers, nature, and even the divine.
      • Care and Respect: It recognizes that all individuals deserve care and respect.
      • Unmistakable Joy: Universal love brings a deep sense of joy even when it creates challenges to our existing veiws or beliefs.     
    • Essence: Universal love is the basic energy of the universe, akin to cosmic consciousness, and when experienced it reveals the true nature of love in all of its totality.

                                                                     

In summary, both pure love and universal love transcend the ordinary, inviting us to connect with something greater than ourselves. Whether within our hearts or as a force that binds us all, love remains an essential and transformative aspect of our being and existence,and a continuing reminder we are part of what everything is.

It is a beautiful moment of gentle vulnerability and sweet Surrender in a place flowing with Grace and Love, where we once thought we had died, and would surely die again, only to discover it as a place of Re-Birth and of Resurrection, born again in Innocence through the Miracle of Love.

        Why Did We Leave Love?                            It is very difficult to remember why we would have made a choice to abandon love, our purpose, and our authentic being. In fact, very few are able to actually remember this choice without the assistance of a Guide, or Counsellor. It was, for each of us, a place of woundedness, heartbreak, and trauma. So much so that it felt like a place of death, or a temptation to die. In essence, we not only gave up our connection to love, but also our vital link to our Innocence, and our value as a Gift to Life.
